I have to admit. I’m a little obsessed with the future. I read a lot of sci-fi. I read books and articles and scientific developments that are on the verge of become the new normal. My life is (often) driven by new technology and the killer “new” phone I have can’t wait to be replaced with the next one. Seriously! If tomorrow would just hurry up and get here.

But today is the gift. Today is what we have. Today we can do something meaningful. Maybe something meaningful to prepare for tomorrow. Maybe a meaningful moment spent with family instead of that other thing you’re obsessing over.

Today I need a reminder that today matters.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. – Matthew 6:34
